In an effort to inspire environmental stewardship and highlight the vital role oceans play in sustaining life on Earth, Thaamarai World School observed World Ocean Day with immense zeal and creativity across the campus!
Aligning with the global theme for 2023, “Planet Ocean: Tides are Changing,” our Grade 9 students brought geography and conservation to life in a spectacular way. Utilizing vibrant colors, the students meticulously hand-drew a massive world map directly on the floor, precisely marking all the world’s major oceans and marine ecosystems. This artistic installation served as an interactive learning centerpiece, sparking meaningful discussions on marine pollution, conservation of aquatic life, and climate action.
Through hands-on projects and reflective discussions, our young ocean advocates learned that preserving our marine waters requires active, conscious choices every day. At TWS, we take pride in cultivating environmentally conscious citizens ready to make a positive impact on our shared planet!
